Questions:
(i) What does 'I' refer to in the
poem?
Answer – ‘I’ in the poem refers to the poet.
(ii) How did the poet's eyes look
like in the fog?
Answer – The poet’s eyes looked like balls of burning lead in the fog.
(iii) Why did the poet lose his
judgement and why?
Answer – The poet lost his judgment due to fog. It grew so black that he failed to
understand anything.
(iv) Who was the man who passed
by the poet?
Answer – A blind man passed by the poet.
(v) How did the poet reach home?
Answer – The poet reached home with the help and guidance of the blind man.
(vi) Which word indicates to us
that the second man was blind?
Answer – The word ‘blind’ indicated to us that the second man was blind.
(vii) What message do you get
from this poem?
Answer – The poem gives us message that a blind person has skill which can prove an
advantage over the one with vision in some occasions.
