Answer – Some famous places in Thailand are Chao Praya River Valley, Khorat Plateau
and ‘Doi Intharion’- the highest mountain peak of Thailand.
4. What is unique about ‘Thai’
food?
Answer – The unique thing about ‘Thai’ food is its balance of all the five basic
flavours in every dish - hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty and bitter tastes.
5. What does a ‘Thai’ meal
consist of?
Answer – A typical meal consists of sweet-smelling Jasmine rice, lovely smelling
curries, stir-fried items and other dishes cooked with large quantities of
chilly, lime juice and lemon grass.
6. Name some of the important
towns in Thailand?
Answer – Some of the important towns in Thailand are Bangkok, Nakhon, Rat Chasima,
Udon Thai, Kakhon Sawan, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, Phuket, Hat Yai etc.
7. What happens during the

Answer – During the Elephant Round-up, the elephants play football (soccer).
8. Who was Little Doi Swan?
Answer – Little Doi Swan was the keeper of the guest house in Thailand.
