6. In the Heart of a Seed

Word Meanings - 

Heart (हार्ट) = हृदय

Seed (सीड) = बीज

Buried (बरीड) = दफ़न करना, जमीन के अन्दर गड़ा देना  

Deep (डीप) = गहरा  

Wake (वेक) = जागना

Sunshine (सनशाइन) = धूप, सूर्य का प्रकाश    

Creep (क्रीप) = सरकना, धीरे-धीरे चलना  

Bright (ब्राइट) = चमकदार

Raindrop (रेनड्रॉप्स) = बारिश की बूँदें  

Rose (रोज) = उठना या उगना (Rise) का भूतकाल

World (वर्ल्ड) = दुनिया या संसार 

Reading Comprehension
A. Answer the following questions:

1. Who asked the little plant to wake up?
Answer – The sun shine and the bright rain drops asked the little plant to wake up.

2. What did the little plant see when it rose?
Answer – The little plant saw the wonderful outside world when it rose.

3. Whom does the sunshine wake up every morning? Make a list.
Answer – The sunshine wakes up almost everyone every morning. Here is the list –

b)   Plants and trees
c)   Birds and animals
d)   Other creatures

4. Write the lines from the poem, which describe the above pictures.(Given in the lesson)

In the heart of a seed,

A dear little plan,
