CLASS 5 - LESSON 2 - SATTU GOES SHOPPING

LESSON - 2

SATTU GOES SHOPPING

I. New words (नए शब्द और उनके हिंदी में अर्थ)

Green grocer (ग्रीन ग्रॉसर) = हरी सब्जी और फल बेचने वाला  

Spinach (स्पिनाच) =पालक (भाजी)

Shopping list (शॉपिंग लिस्ट) = खरीददारी की सूची

Buy (बाय) = खरीदना

Finish (फिनिश) = खत्म करना, पूरा करना

Homework (होमवर्क) = गृहकार्य

Sugar (सुगर) = शक्कर

Soap (सोप) = साबुन

Vegetable (वेजिटेबल) = सब्जी

 

II. Read and write (पढ़िए और लिखिए)

Answer these questions: (इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिये)

1. Who went to the market?

Answer – Sattu and Raju went to the market.

2. How much sugar did Sattu buy?

Answer – Sattu bought one kilo sugar.

3. Who ate the spinach?

Answer – A cow ate the spinach.

4. How many bars of soap did Sattu buy?

Answer – Sattu bought one bar of soap.

 

(B) Put the events in proper order according to the story:

(इन घटनाओं को कहानी के अनुसार क्रम से रखिये)

(i) The cow ate up the spinach.

(ii) Mother gave a shopping list to Sattu.

(iii) Sattu went to the market.

(iv) Sattu gave the shopping list to the shopkeeper.

(v) He bought 2 kilos of spinach.

(vi) Sattu and Raju went to the green grocer.

 

Answer – Proper order (सहीं क्रम – कहानी के अनुसार)

(ii) Mother gave a shopping list to Sattu.

(iii) Sattu went to the market.

(iv) Sattu gave the shopping list to the shopkeeper.

(vi) Sattu and Raju went to the green grocer.

(v) He bought 2 kilos of spinach.

(i) The cow ate up the spinach.

 

III. Say aloud (जोर से बोलिए)

(कक्षा में जोर से उच्चारण करिये)

 

IV. Let’s talk (आइये बातें करें)

(1) Do you go to market to buy vegetables, fruits or other things? Tell the class the vegetables you buy.

Answer – Yes, I go to market to buy vegetables, fruits or other things. I buy potato, tomato, onion etc.

(2) Do you go alone or with someone?

Answer – I go with my mother / father/ uncle / brother/ sister/ friend.

(3) Make the list of things you want to buy from the village or city market and read it aloud.

Answer – Chocolate, colour pens, balloons, toys… (बच्चों को इसका उत्तर स्वयं देने प्रेरित करें)

V. Vocabulary (शब्दज्ञान)
