CATS

I. New words (नए शब्द और उनके हिंदी में अर्थ)

Ledge (लेज) = किनारा, उभरा हुआ हिस्सा 

Edge (एज) = किनारा, कोना

Drawer (ड्राअर)= दराज

Fitted (फिटेड) = युक्त, लगा हुआ

Cupboard (कपबोर्ड) = अलमारी

Empty (एम्पटी) =खाली

Cardboard (कार्डबोर्ड) = गत्ता

Sleep (स्लीप) =सोना

Chair (चेयर) = कुर्सी

Middle (मिडिल)= बीच का

Open (ओपन) = खुला

Lap (लैप)= गोद

Anywhere (एनीव्हेयर) = कहीं भी  

 

II. Read and write (पढ़िए और लिखिए)

(A) Answer these questions: (इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिये)

1. Name the places where cats sleep?

Answer – The cats sleep anywhere. They sleep on table, chair, piano, drawer, shoe, box, cupboard etc.

2. Write down the names of things in the poem.

Answer – Table, chair, piano, window, drawer, shoe, cardboard box, cupboard, frocks.

3. Write three sentences about cat's.

Answer –

• ·       Cat is a pet animal.
• ·       Cat loves to drink milk.
• ·       Cat eats mouse.
• ·       Cat sleeps anywhere.

 

III. Say aloud (जोर से बोलिए)

piano, window- ledge, edge, drawer, empty, fitted, cupboard, anywhere

IV. Let’s talk (आइये बातें करें)

1. Do you have any pet animal in your house?

Answer – Yes, I have a pet animal in my house.

2. If yes, name the pet animal. What does it eat?

Answer – I have a pet rabbit. It eats carrot.

3. Where does it sleep?

Answer – It sleeps in my room.

 

VI. Vocabulary (शब्दज्ञान)

(A) Fill in the blanks with suitable words:

(उचित शब्द का प्रयोग कर रिक्त स्थान पूर्ण करें.)

1. You have put the glass of water on the edge of table. It may fall down and break into pieces.

2. Please open the drawer in the table. Do you find any pen in it?

3. No, I don’t. There is nothing in it. It is empty.

4. Where is the cupboard. I want to put this box there.

5. The size of the box fits well in the cupboard.
